About D'Rose Batik
D'Rose Batik is a Kelantan batik brand founded in 2001 by Datin Nik Rosmawati binti Nik Yusoff. The shop is at Bazar Buluh Kubu, Lot 1-40, Kota Bharu, and sells batik fabric, ready-to-wear clothing and custom orders, with delivery across Malaysia.

One design, one owner
Every D'Rose Batik piece is made under one rule: one design, one owner. A pattern is drawn once and sold once, so no two customers wear the same cloth.
The workshop draws its own rose motifs. Five of them, including Ros Kembang Tiga and Ros Asmara Dana, are registered for copyright with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia.
What we make
The range covers cloth by the metre and finished garments, all in Kelantan batik.
- Batik fabric
- 2.5 metre shirt lengths in cotton satin and crepe silk, and 4 metre lengths in cotton, crepe and satin silk.
- Men's wear
- Shirts in cotton (sizes SS to 5XL) and crepe silk, long and short sleeve.
- Women's wear
- Baju kurung (the Malay tunic and long skirt), kaftans, jubah (full-length robes), blouses and a collection for Hari Raya each year.
- Muslimah wear
- Telekung (the prayer garment worn by Muslim women), abayas and cooling inner layers.
- Batik care
- Our own batik wash, in two sizes.
- Custom orders
- For events, uniforms and gifts.
The founder
Datin Nik Rosmawati binti Nik Yusoff opened D'Rose Batik in 2001 at Bazar Buluh Kubu, the batik and craft market in the centre of Kota Bharu. She has been a registered craft entrepreneur with Kraftangan Malaysia since 2010 and chairs the Bazar Buluh Kubu Batik and Craft Association.
In 2025 she received the Zainab Gemilang Award, and D'Rose Batik received the Cik Siti Wan Kembang Award from the Kelantan Women Entrepreneurs Club.
Registrations and recognition
D'Rose Batik trades as D Rose Textiles, SSM registration 200103029575 (KT0153001-A). SME Corp. Malaysia certifies it as a small enterprise and rates it 3 stars under the SCORE programme. The certificates are on the recognition page.
